Gem is brave, fearless, determined, and compulsive. She loves to exercise, run, and do parkour. She uses these traits as a defense mechanism to cover her hurt from being an outcast. With no fear, and no care about getting hurt, Gem jumps before she thinks.
Born a rock, but to beautiful minerals parents, Gem finds herself caught between two worlds. The rocks don't accept her because of her mineral parents, and the minerals can't get past her rock-like appearance. So when her only childhood friend, Marble, leaves her, Gem decides to run away and find out who she really is.
Obsidian is sharp but fragile. He’s the emotional one in the group. He always feels invisible because of his reflective and dark nature. But his darkness comes in handy in the forest, as he uses it to sneak up on the dangerous creatures. And his reflective surface helps others see their true selves.
Opal is the smart and artistic one, even though everyone else see’s her as just pretty and colorful. She loves to draw and observe, and keeps a book where she documents every rock and mineral she’s ever seen. Opal helps the team navigate the forest with her knowledge of rocks and minerals.
Pyrite is the funny one. He’s always trying to make light of the situation. So, it’s not a surprise that everyone thinks he’s a fool, and treats him like a joke. They also think he’s all flash and no substance, and that he’s trying to be something he’s not.
